My Review of my Student Weekly Magazine
Cover & Contents
Strengths:
·
The
photo of the model I took was clear, and not blurred or pixilated, and there
was good light on the model too
·
The
texts on the cover and contents appear professional, stand-out against
one-another, and generally blend with each other
·
The
sizes of the texts seem appropriate as they distinguish well, you can clearly
tell which is the: masthead; subtitles; headers; and information
·
In
the magazine I included a lot of generic information, for example the barcode
or the copyright on the contents
·
The
model – Chris – has got a bag on, and holding books which gives an idea of a
school environment
·
Throughout
the magazine I kept a generally house style of: square shapes; bold text; and
those colours: Mantis Green; Grey/Black; and White
Weaknesses:
·
Even
though the photo was clear I feel like I may be able to take a better photo
with better composition, just generally closer to the model
·
Beneath
the banner I feel as if the room there is wasteful, even though it give the
magazine space from all the text I feel as if it would have been better with
more there
·
My
cover isn’t very organised as everything is dotted around on the page
·
On the
contents, I’ve noticed that the page numbers are slightly different sizes and
if I had more time I could correct the sizes
